PERSONAL
2022 PLANNER
OBJECTIVE For this project, the objective was to use our typography skills to create a portfolio-worthy piece. The requirement for what to create was open, as long as it was predominately typographic. Depending on what was chosen is what led to what types of fonts, colors, style, and overall look.
SOLUTION For my project, I decided on creating a 2022 personal mini, 5”x7” planner. The design of the planner incorporated a pixelated look, which was used in the titles of each page and the picture of the correlating flower of that month. For each month, a different color was picked out of the pixelated image, which was used for the name of that month in those pages and the sidebar. All twelve colors are all taken together and then used in the same grid fashion on the cover of the planner. Any “subhead” text was set in a bold sans-serif font, while the other text is set in the same font, but a lighter in a “book” style, putting less emphasis on it.
